Ginger is a spice with a very strong taste. Ginger is not only very tasty, but also has a lot of good qualities. Ginger contains gingerol, shogaol, zingiberene and a whole range of vitamins and minerals. It is therefore not surprising that ginger has a long medicinal history. Centuries ago, ginger was used to cure all kinds of ailments. In addition, eating ginger regularly also helps to keep your body healthy.

According to some studies done, ginger helps to reduce the chance of getting cancer and also helps to prevent colon inflammation. A study made in 2015, 41 participants who had type 2 diabetes, had their fasting blood sugar lowered by 12% after consuming 2 grams of ginger per day. While this is still uncharted territory and other studies need to be made to prove the effectiveness of ginger on combating diabetes, the preliminary results are terrific, and we hope that further studies will help us understand more how ginger helps fight diabetes.

  • Treats Split Ends: Ginger has antioxidants in it that can prevent split ends and dry hair related problems.
