Socialist party in the USA had observed Women's Day for the first time in the world on 28th February, 1909 A.D. The International Convention of the socialist Party was held in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark in 1910 A.D. The main objective of this convention was to attain Women's Rights. Women did not have voting rights at that time. October or Bolshevik revolution also started in Russia in 1917 A.D. on the occasion of Women's Day. The revolution succeeded with the end of Tsar Rule in Russia. The Interim Government formed after it guaranteed voting rights to the women. After that, with the adjustment in the international calendar, it was started to observe Women's Day on 8th March.
