The systematic planning was started in Nepal in 2013 BS, 14th plan is in process at the present in our country.
Reasons of failure of economic plans and the measures to make them effective:
S.N. | Challenges | Measures to make plans effective |
1 | Political Instability | The political leaders should not think only for their personal and party interest but get united among themselves for national development. The major political parties should unite to form the government of political consensus or work collaboratively with the opposition parties. |
2 | Corruption | The government should take strict action against corruption. There should be regular supervision and observation from the date of the implementation of the planning until it is completed. |
3 | Lack of public participation | The aspiration of the local people should be considered while preparing development plans. Public participation should be generated with the objective to benefit the people with the result of development. |
4 | Lack of skilled human resources | Focus should be given in technical education to generate the human resource required for the nation. Skill/ income generating training center should be established to train the people who are deprived of higher education. |
