In my opinion about Child Rights
- 29th Bhadra, of every year is declared as Children's Day in our country. Nepal signed on the UN's International Protocol on Child Rights on 4th September, 1990 A.D. The same day was 29th Bhadra. So Children Day is observed on this day as a memory of it.
- Thousands of children in Nepal are still deprived from the light of education. Thousands of young girls are victims of rape while numerous children are in the threat/risk of human trafficking.
- Not only that but also the number of children have been living as street children passing their fertile time of their life under the sky. Such children suffer a lot from the street dogs. Children are compelled to exchange their labor with little money they get s child labor or domestic workers.
- Thousands of questions strike in my mind when I see these all and I wonder where Child Right is! There is no use of observing Children's Day just for formality unless the government as well as the organizations working in this sector works effectively. It is necessary to pay attention by all.
