Inter School Folk and Cultural Dance Competition Held

Shree Janata Secondary School conducted a great program on the conducted a great program on the occasion of Children's Day. The main attraction of the program was folk and classical dance competition. Fifteen different school from the valley had taken part in the competition. Among them, Pancha Buddha dance performed by the students of Padma kanya school won the first prize while Galaxy school and Charles Darwin Academy were crowned First Runner Up and Second Runner Up respectively, " Other dances were also not less than the winner which made us tough to decide the winner", said one of the members of jury panel.
The program was chaired by the Principal of the school. Popular singer Badri Pangeni was invited as the Chief Guest. Conducted for about 3 hours, the program was well managed from the beginning to the end. Addressing the students, the Chief Guest said; The folk and classical dances can maintain our historical tradition alive". He reminded the students to practise dancing such dances along with other dances. The principal promised that the school is ready to conduct such competition every year and hoped that the concerned government body will cooperate in such endeavors.
