Climate change conference
On the basis of treaty of UNFCCC negotiated in June 1992, Countries that signed the treaty must inform the works and programs conducted in their countries related to climate change to their member countries. In 2011, Nepal prepared the climate change policy on the basis of the UNFCCC and is acting accordingly. Climate change conferences are yearly held in the framework of the UNFCCC and they also serve as a formal meeting for UNFCCC parties. The first ever UN Climate change Conference was held on 1995 in Berlin, Germany and the last recent one was held in Madrid, Spain in 2019. It was supposed to be held in Brazil but they withdrew at the last moment because of the protests going on in the country. The next Climate Change Conference will be held this year in Glasgow, UK.
