My First Day at R.R. Higher Secondary School: My Most Memorable Day
My first day at R.R. Higher School is the most memorable day of my higher secondary life. After I passed SEE, I joined this higher secondary school for my further study. The first day remained unimagined and unforgettable.
I entered the school with new hopes and dreams. I was surprised to see students with perfect college uniforms. I never thought that I had to put on the uniform after SEE thus found myself odd among the friends. I could never forget that. I also entered the college with the hope that students would be free and do whatever they like on the first day. I was baffled seeing the student all in the classroom, so attentive, so convinced and so energetic.
I found all the students and their high spirits. They were so happy that they joined hands with everyone (I was rather reserved). I took a round of the college during lunchtime. Since motivated by the teacher's inspiring lectures and words, I thought of visiting the college library. I was very much delighted to see the grand library of the college where I could find the books on the subjects that I have to study. Then, my visit to the laboratory gave me a different pleasure. I had never seen the library at my country school. The lab excited me on the very first day. This was my new experience, thus became a memorable day. The methods and techniques became memorable. They were new to me. Each chapter of the subject except Nepali and English was taught by a specialized teacher. The teacher taught in hurry with a pure lecture method. We were not allowed to ask questions, though the English teacher did the part of the interaction. They terrified the students that passing the exam with good marks in class 11 was difficult and that we had to undergo a cutthroat competition for the marks to obtain. Professors hardly but rebuke the students at the mistake rather asked them to be conscious.
I made many new friends and was highly motivated for the study never before never after in my life. I was fully satisfied by the teachers and classes. I developed a positive thought that still helps me. If you look at the thing positively, you never become hopeless in your life which I learnt from the first day of my college and thus it became memorable. I got a new rhythm and music to live a life, to move ahead in life. Maybe this is a coincidence, but the day really implanted a seed of hope in my heart by which I live a more encouraging and satisfying life at present-day-- It's two years since I completed my college/higher secondary school life.
