Electricity is also called a kind of energy. Electricity is useful because it can be converted easily into various other forms of energy such as heat energy, light energy, mechanical energy, sound energy, chemical energy, and magnetism. We use electricity to run many appliances like television, computer, calculators, refrigerators and required electric current fo the operation. In our daily life which makes our work easier. The device which produces electricity is called the source of electricity.
Sources of electricity
There are 3 sources of electricity. They are:
- Cell: A cell is a device, which converts chemical energy into electricity, Simple cells and dry cells are examples of cells
- Photocell: A photocell is a device that converts light energy into electricity.
- Dynamo or Generator: A dynamo or Generator is a device that converts mechanical energy into electricity.
