Why did the panchayat system end?

Reasons of end of panchayat system:
- The constitution of panchayat government had deprived the people from their fundamental rights and freedom due to which it was opposed tight from its beginning.
- People were aggressive as the rulers of this system suppressed, tortured, imprisoned and even killed the general public.
- Education and awareness had a great influence on people.
- There was even international pressure to establish democracy in Nepal.
- Even different communist parties got united among themselves for the sake of democracy.
- People's movement was launched jointly Nepali congress and united leftist front.
Because of all these reasons, the panchayat system started from 22 poush, 2017 ended after 30 years on 26th chaitra, 2046 BS.
