What measures can we take to keep the youths from going abroad.

The trend of brain drain is increasing every year. It has negative effects in the development and economy of Nepal. There is scarcity of active manpower as youths are leaving the country for foreign employment. Due to this, the labor and sweat of the Nepalese has been wasted in foreign land. What measures can be adopted to solve such problems.

More than 2 million Nepalese youth have been there in different countries except India. It has caused negative effects in development and economy of Nepal. There is shortage of active youths to work for the development of the country due to brain shortage of active youths to work for the development of the country due to brain drain. On the other hand, the labor, sweat and young age of Nepalese people have been wasted in the development of foreign countries. The government of Nepal has to formulate the following programs to solve such problems and make Nepal a prosperous country by creating the environment for working inside our own country:

1 Development of infrastructure The prerequisites of development like pitched road, pure drinking water, education, health facilities, communication, etc should be extended in every nook and corner of the country. The development of infrastructures supports in carrying our different occupation in the country.
2 Skill Generating training Uneducated and unemployed youths living below the poverty line should be provided training on cutting hair, tailoring, driving, radio/TV/Mobile repairing, modern agriculture, animal husbandry, etc.
3 Establishment of industries The government of Nepal should give emphasis on the development of agriculture, tourism, hydroelectricity, animal husbandry, etc. If industries based on such sectors are established, then thousands of Nepalese people can get employed.
4 Maintaining political stability The government should launch projects related to youth employment. There should be agreement among the leaders of the major political parties regarding national development. Strikes, blockade etc should be ended forever.

The government should give special emphasis on collecting foreign donation, controlling corruption, improving the condition of peace and security, promoting public participation, etc to make such projects successful. If our political leaders really have commitment, Nepal also can be like one of the developed countries within 5 years. After that, Nepalese youths need not have to go abroad for foreign employment.
