Legal provisions against violation of consumer's rights:
- If consumers know that they have been cheated they can lodge a petition.
- Consumers can complain themselves or do so through concerned organization or agencies.
- According to consumers protection act-2054 the complaint can be submitted even to the department of commerce, district administrative office, nearby police station or in the respective ministry.
- If the consumers are cheated or harmed due to low quality of goods, there is legal provision of compensation.
- Similarly, consumers protection act-2054 has also the provision from consumer education.
