What are the main economic activities of Africa? Write them

The main economic activities of Africa are :

• Many of the African countries are backward in economic development despite being rich in natural resources. 
• The richest country of the continent is south Africa. This country has made progress in utilization of minerals , tourism industry and sea trade. 
• Vast grassland called Savanna lies in central Africa. It is also called the "zoo of  the world". Due to which, tourism industry is developing in this region. 
• Due to extremely hot and dry climate agricultural production is almost nil in central African countries. Agriculture however seems to have been developed on the river basins of the countries like Egypt, Libya, Algeria etc. 
• Government, rich people, multinational companies, etc have established commercial farms called estates. Banana, cocoa, cysul, coffee etc are cultivated in large quantity. They have good provisions of food, water, shelter, electricity, etc for the workers.
