The main functions of the Judiciary
- Judicial Function
The main function of judiciary is to given justice to the innocent and victim of injustice and punishment to the culprit according to the existing laws. - Protection of Rights and Freedom
Judiciary protects the rights and freedom of the people. It is another important function of the judiciary to prevent the violation of the fundamental rights of every citizens. - Interpretation of Law
It is another function of Judiciary to interpret the laws made by the legislature while deciding the case. The interpretation of laws means the advocacy in the courts. It is done to clarify the legal provision and terminology used in the law so that common people can understand it. - Advisory Function
If needed, the judiciary also gives advices to the legislature, executive or other constitutional organs in various complicated legal and constitutional matters.
