There is a great prospect of religious tourism in Nepal:
- Nepal is a common garden of 125 ethnicity, 123 languages and 10 major religions.
- There is diversity in cultural festivals, feasts and fairs according to ethnicity and regions.
- Religious sites enlisted in the world Heritage site like Pashupatinath, Changunarayan, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Lumbini areas are there in this country.
- Religious sites lying in different parts of the country can also be center of attraction for the tourists. Pathivara, Halesi mahadev, Baraha chhetra, Devghat, Manakamana, Mukti Kshetra etc are the examples.
- Observing the religious sites of the Kathmandu valley, the tourists have named it an open museum.
- The activities performed in the religious festival like Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Chhath, Loshar, Holi, ID, Maghi, Gaijatra, Ghodejatra etc lure the tourists from throughout the world.
