Effects of climate on natural vegetation in our community:

	Region	Climate	Characteristics of Climate
1.	Himalayan region	Cold and dry	Coniferous trees are found in snowy and region with most winter season. Leaves are like Needle or comb so that the snow can easily slid down. Branches are soft like elastic so as not to be broken by the snow. Since it has very less rainfall, plants have thick bark to store the water by absorbing from snow. eg: pine, fir spruce etc.
2.	Hilly region	Warm monsoon	Deciduous trees are found due to change in season. Leaves of trees shed in the cold and dry winter. New leaves in plants bring grenery due to hot and wet summer. Eg: Uttish, Chilaune, Peeple, Bamboo are such plants.
3.	Terai Region	Hot and Wet	Evergreen trees are found as it is hot throughout the year. The forest looks green throughout the year. Dense forest with tall trees are found due to hot and wet climate. Eg: Sal, Teek, Sisau, are the plants found here.
