1. Western cordilleras ( Rocky mountain range) The region of high mountains Cold and dry climate is found in high altitude of mountain region.  Coniferous vegetation is found like pine, fir, spruce, etc in this region. 
2.  Central great plains ( Plain land prairies) Extreme climate and scanty rainfall occurs here as it is far away from the sea.  Vast grassland has covered this region which is known as prairies.
3.  Eastern (Mountain range) highland, mountains consisting of low young fold mountains facing toward the sea.  Warm climate is there as it lies on the sea coast.It has monsoon type of climate with summer and winter. Since the climate is monsoon type, deciduous type of vegetation is found here.
