Prepare a model of news including the functions of the general assembly.

General assembly is the parliament of the UNO. The meeting of this organ is held from 3rd Tuesday of every September to mid December. The representatives of all the members of the UNO are the member of the General assembly. There are altogether 193 countries as the member of the UNO at present. The head of the state of every member countries participate in the meeting of General assembly. The meeting is called by the UN's secretary General. To conduct the meeting of this organs, 1 president and 17 vice presidents are elected before the meeting starts. According to the information of the UNO, the general assembly performs the following functions.

• To make the law for the UNO.
• To pass the annual budget of the UNO.
• To deal with the issues related to the membership.
• To appoint the secretary general on the recommendation of security council.
• To elect the 10 temporary members of the security council.
• To elect the judges of International court of justice.
• To discuss on world peace, mutual cooperation and other different contemporary issues.
