Is UNO successful in its objectives? Present your opinion.

UNO is partially successful in its objectives:
- UNO has been giving emphasis on world peace and mutual cooperation since 24th Oct. 1945 A.D.
- UNO has been successful in solving some worldwide problems like the problems of African countries, the stress between Arab and Israel, Iran-Iraq war, the war in Haiti.
- The specialized agencies of the UNO like WHO, ILO, UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc have been working to settle problems.
- UNO has also been successful in its functions like development projects for poor countries, cooperation in economic and social sector, mobilization of peace keeping force to maintain world peace etc.
- In spite of all these, UNO is not completely successful in controlling the incidents of terrorism and solving the refugee problem.
- It is another weakness of the UNO to let the USA exhibit its unnecessary power in the name of controlling Terrorism and nuclear weapons.
- Nevertheless, UNO has not been back from its efforts and objectives. It should be considered successful unless the third world war occurs.
