When Germany accepted loss on 28th June 1919 AD, It was compelled to sign in the treaty of Versailles. Treaty of Versailles was concluded in the Versailles palace of Paris the capital city of France which is known as one sided and humiliating treaty.

The main reasons of it are:

  • Germany alone was asked to pay the compensation worth 66 million pound.
  • The two large coal mines of Germany were seized by France for 15 years.
  • Germany had to reduce the number of soldiers to 1 lakh in its army and could not make new recruitment.
  • Germany had to give up 13% of its territory to other countries.

Likewise, the allies led by France had looted over Germany. Germany had taken it as a great humiliation and insult. Germany had the feeling of revenge. Because of which the second world war took place after 20 years of the first world war. If all the countries became the members of the League of Nations forgiving Germany, Next war would not occur. Therefore it can be said if the Treaty of Versailles were fair, Second world war would not occur.
