Executive is accountable to the legislature because
- Executive means government or council of ministers. The council of ministers is formed by the members of legislature and the power to dissolve the executive is also with legislature.
- The members of the council of ministers are also from among the members of the legislature. So they have to compulsorily attend the meeting of the legislature.
- The executive should govern the nation implementing the laws made by the legislature.
- To impose a new tax policy i the nation, the executive has to get it approved from the legislature.
- The executive should inform the legislature regarding its every decisions, treaties, agreements and plans and policies.
- The legislature reminds the executive in its every tasks and decisions.
Therefore the executive is always accountable to the legislature.
