The leaders of powerful nations of the world appreciated the bravery and courage of Gorkhas. The Nepalese with self respect had to fight the war as the employed of the British government.
The living and economic status of the youth involved in the war improved. Since many youths were employed in British army there was difficulty in development due to lack of active youths.
Nepal's relation with Britain became friendly and it also received economic support from Britain. About 60 thousand Nepalese received ultimately death and about 35 thousand tough were maimed and injured in these two world wars.
