Reasons to establish large number of wine industries in Mediterranean Regions:
Southern Europe and Australia, California of North America and central Chile of south America experience Mediterranean climate. A large number of wine making industries are established in this region. Therefore it is sure for countries lying in this region to get a good economic income.
The reasons of this can be mentioned below:
- Winter rainfall is there in this region. The places with winter rainfall have good production of fruits.
- Plenty of grapes and oranges are produced in this region.
- Fruits are cultivated in a modern way in this region. Fruits production is enough due to improved seed, chemical fertilizers and irrigation system.
- Wine industries are established to process these fruits. Wine produced in this region is world famous. About 65% of the world's wine is produced in this region.
