Sharp knife cuts more easily than blunt one. Explain with reason.
1 Answer
A sharper knife has smaller contact area (the cutting surface) compared to blunt knives. When same force is applied to both knives because of smaller surface area in sharper knife the pressure increases during cutting. Hence, cutting with a sharp knife is easier than cutting with blunt knife.
