A car starting from rest maintains an acceleration of o.2 m/s2 up to two minutes. Now find the distance covered in the given time.

Here,
Time (t) = 2 minutes
= 2 x 60 = 120 seconds
Inetial velocity (u) = 0 m/s
Acceleration ( a) = 0.2 m/s2
Distance covered (S) = ?
We know,
= ut + ½ at2
= 0 x t + ½ x 0.2 x (120)2
= ½ x 0.2 x 14400
= 1440 m
Hence, the distance covered by the vehicle is 1440 m.
Acccording to the question,
Initial velocity (u) = 0,
Acceleration (a) = 0.2 m/s²
Time taken (t) = 2 minutes = 2 x 60 seconds = 120 s
Distance covered (s) = ?
We know,
s = ut + ½ x a x t²
= 0 x 120 + 0.5 x 0.2 x 120 x 120
= 0 + 1440
= 1440 m
Hence, total distance covered is 1464 m
