Nepal has different geographical landforms. Terai lies in the southern part of Nepal which ranges from 60 to 610 meters above sea level. Terai region includes 23 percent of the total land of the country. This region has a hot or tropical climate. The hilly region lies as a broad belt between the southern plains of the and Himalayas. It ranges from 610-4877 meters above sea level. There are many valleys, tars, hilly, rocky land, and river basins in this region. It is divided into the Mahabhrat range, mid-hills, and churiya range. Similarly, the mountain region lies in the northern part of Nepal. It ranges from 4877- 4848 meters. It has a rough, rugged slope, snow-covered and sandy landforms. This region contains a number of deep and narrow gorges, plains, and valleys with slightly less coldness. The snowline above 4000 meters in the west and 5000 meters above in the east. Thus Nepal is a geographically diverse nation being composed of three physical divisions. i.e. Mountain, Hills, and Terai.
