Draw a well labelled diagram of electric bell.
1 Answer
The diagram of electric bell is given below:
[caption id="attachment_13196" align="aligncenter" width="300"]An electric bell is a mechanical or electronic bell that functions by means of an electromagnet. ... When an electric current flows through the coils, the electromagnet creates a magnetic field which pulls the armature towards it, causing the hammer to strike the bell. The electromagnet in an electric bell will create a magnetic field that attracts the iron clapper towards it. The clapper strikes the gong (bell). When the clapper strikes the gong, the current stops flowing through the circuit. This causes the electromagnet to lose its magnetic field.
Important parts of an electric bell are :
- Electromagnet.
- Armature.
- Spring.
- Armature rod.
- Hammer.
- Gong.
