Accountability is defined as the obligation of a subordinate to complete the task and report back to his/ her superior about the detail work entrusted to him/ her. It is a responsibility of a subordinate to complete the assigned job according to the standard set by the superior when he/ she assigns a certain job to a subordinate and delegates his/ her necessary authority to complete the task.
