An iron ball 5kg, 100°C is dipped in water 10 kg at 20°C. Find final temp ?
1 Answer
Here,
mass of iron m1 = 5kg
temp = 100°C
mass of water m2 = 10 kg
temp t2 =20°C
sp.heat of water S2= 4200 J/kg°C
sp. heat of iron S1= 470 J/kg°C
final temp T= ??
We know that,
\(T=\;\frac{m_1s_1t_1+m_{2\;}s_2t_2}{m_1s_1+\;m_2s_2}\)
T = 1075000 / 44350
T = 24.23 °C
