A cork has d=200kg/mcube, water d= 1000kg/ m cube . What fraction of cork is in water ?
1 Answer
Given,
density of cork d =200
density of water dw = 1000
we know that ,
v d g = vw dw g
vw/v =dw / d
vw / v =1/5
this is the fraction of volume inside water.
Hence 1/5 th part of the cork is submerged while floating in water.
