WiFi stands for "wireless fidelity" and represents the commonly used wireless networking technology that allows most electronic devices such as computers, mobile devices, and other equipment to communicate each other with wires. Internet connectivity occurs through a wireless router with the help of WiFi. WiFi is mainly used in Local Area Network connection. WiFi also transmits signals with the help of electromagnetic waves. 

The range of the WiFi is depended upon the environment, indoor or outdoor ranges. The WiFi cards will read the signals and create an internet connection between the user and the network. The speed of the device using WiFi connection increases as the computer gets closer to the main source and the speed is decreased the computer gets further away.
