Two valves present in human heart are :

Tricuspid and mitral valve.

Pulmonary vein carries pure blood from lung to heart.

The mitral valve separates the two chambers (atrium and ventricle) of the left side of the heart. In mitral valve prolapse, the leaflets of the mitral valve bulge (prolapse) into the left atrium like a parachute during the heart's contraction.  One of the main causes of mitral valve stenosis is rheumatic heart disease. This is where an infection causes the heart to become inflamed. Over time, it can cause the flaps of the mitral valve to become hard and thick. For asymptomatic patients having mitral valve repair, the operative risk is approximately 1 in 1000. Risk in symptomatic patients remains well under 1%. The presence of coronary artery disease or other conditions that require surgical treatment will affect your individual risk.

Tricuspid valve: The tricuspid valve — which lies between the two chambers on the right side of your heart — consists of three flaps of tissue called leaflets. The tricuspid valve opens when blood flows from the right atrium to the right ventricle. The tricuspid valve helps keep blood flowing in the right direction through the heart. It separates one of the heart's two upper and lower chambers (atria and ventricles).
