Road accidents with development of the transportation and transport industry have increased hugely in number. Everyday there is an incident of road accident in almost many big cities. In Nepal we hear a lot of news about buses and trucks colliding and falling into the river. As Nepal's geography is mountainous the roads built are difficult and dangerous. There have been increasing news on crushing of pedestrians as well while crossing the road or homeless sleeping on the road. The main reason for these issues are violation of the traffic laws, narrow and badly maintained roads, over loading of the vehicles.

In towns and cities people do not follow the speed limit rules. Drivers often tend to overtake and rush through zebra crossing and intersection. They ignore the red signal or traffic policemen warning. They also try to drive ahead when the pedestrian are crossing the road. On the other hand pedestrians too ignore the traffic signals and create chaos in the roads. The pedestrian trying to move along the traffic has created many incidents of injury. Even though there are footpaths to walk on the pedestrian tend to walk on the roads and create traffic issues.

These kind of irresponsible action in part of both pedestrians and the drivers create incidence of the road accident. Beside that not well maintained road can cause accidents as while driving people might miss the pot holes and the bad roads might cause flat tires too. This is the responsibility of the state. The government takes tax for road from people that buy vehicles, have driving license. The government should take care of the road. Sometimes at night not well lit areas might have accidents because f darkness and weather. These all maintained should be taken care of to avoid road accidents.

Hence, to reduce the risk of road accident everyone must come together , the concerned authority of government, pedestrians, drivers.
