The world climate model program provides financial support to poor countries to adopt various ways to adapt to climate change. The climate change adaptation program of Nepal has been taken as a long term program by dividing into five sectors. They are:
- Climate adaptation of watersheds in hilly region.
- Adaptation to risks induced by climate.
- Mainstream flow of climate change risk management in development projects.
- Building a capable community for climate change adaptation with the active participation of the private sector.
- Promotion of climate change adaptation for vulnerable species.
