Explain the importance of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)?

1 Answer

Importance of OOP

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a programming model that uses "Objects" to design applications and computer programs.

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is important in program designing because of:

  1. Simplification of the programs.
  2. It fulfills the need for secured programs.
  3. The Inheritance concept can be used to eliminate redundant codes.
  4. The message passing concept helps the programmer for communicating between different objects.
  5. Through the inheritance concept, we can define classes with combined features.
  6. New data and functions can be easily coded whenever necessary.
  7. OOP treats data as a critical element and does not allow it to flow freely around the program.
  8. OOp ties data elements more closely to the functions that operate.
