What is stratopause? Write its temperature ranges.
1 Answer
The upper boundary of stratosphere is called stratopause. At stratopause there is -2°C which is higher than the starting layer of stratosphere from the earth's surface.
The transition zone between the stratosphere and mesosphere is called stratopause. In stratosphere the temperature increases with altitude because of the UV rays absorption by various chemical species including the ozone and molecular oxygen present in the stratosphere.
