Blood is a fluid connective tissue found in our body and circulates through the heart, arteries, and veins carrying nutrient materials and oxygen to body cells and removing waste products and carbon dioxide. Blood is composed up of 55% plasma and 45% blood cells.
It has four main components: plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Blood has many different functions, including: transporting oxygen and nutrients to the lungs and tissues. forming blood clots to prevent excess blood loss.
