What is biodegradable pollutants? Explain with examples.

1 Answer

The pollutants which are degraded by biological actions over time are called biodegradable pollutants. For example, cow dung, human feces, sewage, paper products, vegetable wastes, seeds and leaves. Pollutants like these break down naturally by micro-organisms like bacteria which in turn are useful as manures and fertilizer for plants.
