What are the main function of the blood ?or Write down the main functions of blood. 

There are mainly three function of the blood in human body. They are : 

1. Transportation : Blood takes oxygen from the lungs to the cells and tissues of the body. It brings carbon dioxide to lungs from different cells and tissues. Blood takes absorbed nutrients from the intestine to cellsand tissues of he body. 
2. Regulation: It maintains the temperature of the body and keeps the body warm. It balances the quantity of water and different chemical substances in the tissue. 
3. Protection : Blood takes the WBC'S to the infected area of the body to fight against the diseases causing microorganisms. Blood helps in the rapid healing of the wound and clotting of blood takes place from the wound or injured portion of the body.
