Testes of male produces sperm and testosterone hormone where as ovary of female produces estrogen and progesterone. 

Gonadal hormones is synonymous with gonadal steroids, these are hormones produced by the gonads, and include both steroid and peptide hormones.  The major steroid hormones include progesterone from the ovaries, and testosterone from the testes.

Testosterone is also produced in female in small quantities which is responsible for development of male characteristics. In male Testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. In men, it's thought to regulate sex drive (libido), bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm.
