Terai region is most suitable for agriculture. This region has main castes like Bhramin, Chhetri, Tharu, Telli, Yadhav, Rajbanshi, Rajput, Muslim, etc. Main domestic animals raised in this region include cows, buffalos, pigs, poultry, fish, ducks, and others. This region is developed comparatively and has many big industries too. In this region majority of people are Hindus. Apart from Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jain, and other religions are also found distinctly in this region. Religious diversity is distinctly observed in this region. There is a remarkable influence of southern culture i.e., Indian cultures. Similarly, most of the town areas lie in the Terai region. Terai region is valuable for cultural diversities also.
