Define heart beat ? What are the different factors that affect the heart beat of a person?

The contraction and relaxation of heart muscles in order to receive and pump blood once is called heartbeat. In healthy adults, heart beats for 72 times per minute.

Heart beat varies from person to person. The factors that affect the heart beat are age, sex, occupation, tension, physical work.

A heartbeat is a two-part pumping action that takes about a second. As blood collects in the upper chambers (the right and left atria), the heart's natural pacemaker (the SA node) sends out an electrical signal that causes the atria to contract.Your heart rhythm is normally controlled by a natural pacemaker (sinus node) located in the right atrium. The sinus node produces electrical impulses that normally start each heartbeat. These impulses cause the atria muscles to contract and pump blood into the ventricles. There are two parts to each heartbeat: the systole is when the heart contracts and pumps blood. the diastole is when the heart relaxes, after contraction, so the chambers can refill with blood.

The sound produced by heart are lub and dub.Heart sounds are the noises generated by the beating heart and the resultant flow of blood ... The first heart sound, or S1, forms the "lub" of "lub-dub" and is composed of components M1 (mitral valve closure) and T1 (tricuspid valve closure).
