Nepal is a landlocked country , which ;lies in the bed of Himalayas. The country is between two large country China and India. It lies in southern Asia. Geographically Nepal is divided into three regions. Terai, Hill, Mountains. Administratively Nepal is divided into five different development regions. The capital city is Kathmandu which is situated in central development region.
Nepal has total area of 147,171 square kilometres. Nepal is multi ethnic, multilingual, country. There are more than 100 languages spoken here. About 50% of the total population in the country speak Nepali and most of the country men understand Nepali to certain extent. We Nepalese have a glorious past and history.
We have a history of bravery and never bending in front f the enemy which is famous all around the world. Our heroes have made the name Nepali courageous all around the globe. Our country has given the world many great thinkers, leaders and poets. One of the most known and sort after great leader of the world is lord Buddha. Our country is also called the land of lord Buddha. The strength of people of Gorkha is known worldwide, they are called Gorkhalis. This is a huge name and identification in the globe for us.
Our country possesses many particularities. It has many mountains full of various type of tree, bushes, birds, animals.Towards the north there are very high Himalayas which is the pride of nation is always capped with snow. The scenery of snow capped heights attract many foreigners and mountaineers from world. We have the highest mountain in the world called Mt. Everest. Many tourist come to our country in search of adventure and high mountains peak trekking. Nepal is very rich in national and cultural heritage.There are many types of religious and ethnic group living together in harmony. There are many temples , stupa , monasteries in our country.
In Nepal we have many religions and many gods but everyone respects each other's gods. Nepal has never argued or had dispute over their cultural differences. All the religions of the world Hindu, Christian, Islam, Jainism, Sikhism are respected in Nepal. There is religious tolerance among people of Nepal and they believe in unity.
