Secularism has freed everybody in Nepal officially to practice their own religious belief. No one can be barred from following any belief that they want to.

Before, the declaration of secularism in Nepal, many Christians and minor religious practices were banned. Now all the religion and cultural practice their belief. With introduction of secularism the nation has become more united as everyone is able to follow their belief in harmony. Many minorities have got legal right to practice their religion this has preserved the religious culture of the people. Everyone whether from any part of the country have felt an ownership and togetherness with introduction f secularism in the country. Secularism is beneficial to all. It doesn't harm anyone but brings and keeps everyone in harmony.

Secularism is the idea or principle that separates the state from the religion. This has many benefits as it avoids the discrimination of minor religion and lets them practice and be happy. Secularism also includes principle of following social, political ideology freely. I believe it is very integral part of democracy. Government or the people at any level can not discriminate anyone for their religious, political or social belief. In secularism non of the religious group are given priority rather all are treated equally.

In Nepal secularism was put in constitution of 2015. The Interim Parliament, through the Interim Constitution, officially declared the country a secular state in January 2007; however, no laws specifically affecting freedom of religion were changed. The main objective of the secularism is to give equality to  citizen. Prior to introduction of secularism in Nepal , Nepal was a Hindu country.Since, 2015 Nepal is a Secular country. This was a huge step in democracy of Nepal.

I think making Nepal a secular country was the right decision as already we have seen many positive impact of the change. In secularism, everyone is happy and no one feels insecure.Everyone has ownership of the state.
