In simple words, the relationship between debit and credit presented in a mathematical equation is called accounting equations. In another words it reflect the rule of debit and credit in a mathematical equation form.
It can be presented as
Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity
or, liabilities = Assets - Owner's Equity
or, Owner's Equity = Assets - Liabilities
