The executive is the branch of government exercising authority in and holding responsibility for the governance of a state.
The function of Executive
- Administrative Function
Executive implements the laws made by the legislature. It also runs the government of the country, maintains peace and order and manages all the works of the government offices. It makes several plans and policies regarding the appointment, transfer, promotion of government officials and gives necessary instructions of them.
- Financial Function
Executive prepares the annual budget of the country and utilizes the budget in development works with the consent of the parliament. Beside these, collection of tax, corruption control, etc also fall under the financial works of the executive.
- Diplomatic Function
Executive deals with several foreign affairs. It makes foreign policy, extend diplomatic relation with other countries, signs international treaties and agreements, etc. It also establishes embassy and appoints ambassadors. It deals with international support and donation as well.
- Army Related (Military Function)
Executive mobilizes National Army to protect the country from foreign attacks. to protect the national border of the country, as well as in developments works, election and to provide rescue and relief to the people during the especial cass like natural disasters.
