The constitution of Nepal- 2072 has the provision for none Supreme Court in Nepal.
The main function of Supreme Court are
- To instruct and regulate all the high courts and districts courts of the country.
- To make final verdict of the cases filed by a person not satisfied from the decision of district courts and high courts.
- To give original jurisdiction on the writs which have been applied directly in supreme court related to the right to constitutional remedy.
- To keep the record of the important verdicts and evidences related to laws.
- To give legal advices to the legislature and executive in various complicated constitutional matters.
- To establish precedent by interpreting the laws or constitution while deciding a typical case, etc.
