Unmanaged Development means destruction:
Economic activities/development activities operated with adverse effects in the environmental aspects is called unmanaged development Farming and construction works operated in the steep land, mixing the garbage, sewage, in the source of water, using chemical fertilizer nd pesticides in crops, operating industries that pollute the environment, urbanization, development without extension of infrastructures, etc are the examples of unmanaged development.
Such unmanaged development results in destruction. For examples:
- Various diseases spread due to agricultural production produced by using excessive chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
- Floods and landslides are common due to cultivation and construction of roads in the slopes.
- Water becomes polluted and causes various water-borne diseases due to mixture of sewage or waste in the water sources.
- Destructions and difficulties like pollution, no access of fire brigade during blaze, scarcity of water, spread of various diseases due to dust and smoke, extinction of natural goods, etc are very likely to occur.
Kathmandu valley can be taken as the example of unmanaged development in the continent of Asia.
