Solve: \(9-\sqrt{x-4}=5\)

1 Answer

Here,

\(9-\sqrt{x-4}=5\)
Or, \(9-5=\sqrt{x-4}\)
Or, \(4=\sqrt{x-4}\)

Squaring both sides, we get

\(\left(4\right)^2=\left(\sqrt{x-4}\right)^2\)
Or, 16 = x - 4
Or, 16 + 4 = x
Or, x = 20

Hence x = 20 is the required answer
