Development Goals set by the UN's General Assembly (2014) targeting the underdeveloped countries of the world are called sustainable Development Goals. The period of SDGs is from 2016 to 2030 A.D.
Goals to set by Nepal related to SDGS:
- To raise Nepal From least developed country to developing country by 2022 A.D.
- To alleviate absolute poverty from all the provinces.
- To end the problem of starvation by modernizing agriculture.
- To improve health sector.
- To give emphasis in quality education.
- To maintain gender equality through woman empowerment.
- To provide pure drinking water to all and maintain sanitation.
- To promote dignity of labor and creation of employment opportunity.
- To make development works and settlement areas well managed, durable and environment friendly.
- To give emphasis on measures of prevention from climate change and its effects, etc.
