Our country has been facing long time load shedding daily because:
- production of hydroelectricity is limited but the demand is high.
- rapid growth of urbanization and population need large amount of hydroelectricity to meet their demand.
To solve this problem we must increase hydro power stations in short time as soon as possible. Government should plan for local life which increases themselves as far as practicable.
The electricity crisis of this millennium began in 2006. Nepal saw the last electricity crisis of the last millennium in 1999 and with the commissioning of Khimti Hydroelectric Project in 2000, there was no load shedding until 2005.
- Reduced production by equipment failure and/or damage to power generating stations (such as nuclear power stations, coal plants etc.);
- Reduced production of renewable energy due to climate / weather conditions;
- buy laptops (and LCD/LED monitors) or power saver computers (ask for computers with Intel Atom processors -cheaper too)
- buy offline UPS that have extended backups with inverter batteries.
